Scrapbooking paper is almost always acid-free because acid-free paper lasts longer and is easier to preserve. Acid-free paper means that lignins (the element that allows paper to yellow and disintegrate faster) have been removed to produce this specialty paper.
Scrapbooking paper is also noted for its endless creative possibilities. Papers are made of varying weights and textures as well as any and all colors and shapes. Some are specially designed with photos in mind – the chosen theme and colors making a frame around the photo or photos.
