Prima Black Gesso contains black pigment in an acrylic emulsion base which creates a fine tooth black surface suitable when dry for painting with oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera, crayon, ink, etc. One coat is all that is needed for a rich, dark background on which to start your painting.
