Buying paint supplies can seem like a daunting task. There are at least 10 different varieties. The most popular include oil, watercolor and acrylic. You will need a special type of paint for airbrushing, which you can find on airbrushartistry.com.

The goal is to find paint supplies that match the image you want to create. To do this it may help to visit a museum to get an example of the different mediums and materials. You might also go to an art store and asked to try the different paints.
